Upbeat Anderson happy with the tempo
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan from Liverpool and played his part in a successful battle against relegation.
But after winning that, he made his move permanent in the summer.
On Saturday he played in the 1-1 draw against Bristol City at the City Ground that extended the Reds' unbeaten run to eight games.
And Anderson said: "The pace of the play has come on a lot since last season and is part of the game we want to play, at a high tempo. I feel we are doing that at the minute.
"The main aim is to try to win every game and we feel like we can beat anybody in this division. We showed against Newcastle we can perform well.
"We are doing all right and we are in a nice position. Last season we were battling down right at the bottom in the relegation zone which is not a nice thing.
"But we are happy with the progress we are making. We just have to work hard and keep the concentration."
But Anderson was upset that, despite taking the lead five minutes from time through Wes Morgan, they conceded in the last minute.
He said: "The goal was bad from the full squad so we are disappointed as a team. But we knew they would come to battle with us. We thought we had won it, but a little bit of sloppiness from ourselves let them in and it was poor error from all of us."
Forest remain just two points off the play-offs, as opposed to this time last year when they were in the bottom three.
And Anderson said it gives everyone a sense of freedom, especially after live games against Newcastle and Cardiff proved how well they can play.
He said: "There is a lot more calmness this season and quality that the gaffer has brought in and he is getting his tactics right.
"The gaffer has brought something to the team and it was difficult for him last year to come in and battle against relegation with the mess we were in.
"We have survived that and now we feel we are performing well and can keep doing well in training and pushing on.
"With the Setanta thing it helped us and with Sky and BBC showing games now it is nice to get the recognition that this division deserves.
"It is a great division and something like the third or fourth most popular division in the world so it is nice to do well on the TV but also nice for fans to come to the stadium and make a nice atmosphere. We are doing well."
